Our story begins on the slopes of Koustogerako, a small mountain village in southwestern Crete. A place where the soil is rugged, the air crisp, and the olive trees endure through time. Yiayia Meropi, the soul of our family, harvested olives until the age of 101. From her, we learned that good olive oil is not just made from fruit, it’s made from effort, patience, and deep respect for nature.
Our Tsounati variety ripens slowly and demands attention. It allows no shortcuts. The oil we produce is deep, vivid, and full of character, just like the land it comes from. KOUSTO is not simply a family venture. It’s our way of honoring the past, staying grounded in the present, and offering authenticity to every table it reaches.
